    HMI display control within the Factory Talk ME environment

    Shawn, I just watched a couple of your videos and first of all - THANKS! I have a question about the memory tag you created called "Memory\DisplayControl". How does this actually make the display change to a different screen? This is just a tag you invented/thought up, right? Or is this a reserved special variable that once created acts as a conduit to something else built into the logic such that when you set this tag to a screen ID number the logic automatically goes there? Maybe I missed something... Thanks in advance for a little more explanation on this. Clay

    Good morning @Texasknowhow,

    Which video are you referring to?

    When Display control is used, typically a PLC tag is used to control the Display number to be displayed, except when implementing the Data Store Plus ActiveX as seen here in step 4:

    That aside, the only special built-in tags in ViewME are the ones in the System Folder ;-)
