    Micrologix 1400 Rate Control

Anybody done rate control (4-20in, 4-20 out) easily and successfully in Micro 1400? Or would I be better off in using FBD or other PID instruction sets in the Compactlogix?

I'm trying to weigh programming time vs hardware costs.

    Thanks!

    Good morning Ames Electric!

Hope everything thing is well :-)

With the info you've provided I'd be inclined to go with the ML, unless there is something tricky about the application? Or if you need higher resolution than the 1762 modules support?

    Sincerely,
